Government

Lexington is a Second Class City, meaning that it operates most
of its services and departments independently from the county, but shares
some functions, notably the general district and circuit courts and the
civil process service functions of the Rockbridge County Sheriff's Office.
The city’s Website is www.ci.lexington.va.us.
